Hello,

I am using GitBash on a Windows 11 laptop to run the shell file 'run_grpo_rec.sh' in the 'run scripts' folder of the git cloned VLM-R1 repository. Before I ran the training, I created a new 'vlm-r1' environment, activated that environment, bash ran the 'setup.sh' file in the newly activated 'vlm-r1' environment. Then, I downloaded the datasets and modified the local paths to the datasets in the 'run_grpo_rec.sh' shell file as mentioned in the readme of the 'VLM-R1' GitHub.

However, I am running into an issue whereby the training does not happen since "'libuv' was requested but pytorch was built without it" error message appears. It asks me to set 'use_libuv = 0' to let the actual training happen. Is there anybody who encountered this issue before and can anyone suggest me a viable fix for this?

All the above steps were done using GitBash in Windows 11.

Best,
Mohamed Tousif Nur
